: “Becoming the Advocate: My 2A Freedom Fest Journey

Hey everyone! I just got back from 2A Freedom Fest, where I was invited as a guest speaker—one of the newer faces there, but so honored. It was an amazing opportunity to connect with advocates from all over the country and take my place on that stage.

I spoke about what it truly means to be an advocate. Advocacy takes many forms: maybe you’re testifying at your state capital, speaking at local board meetings, or donating to organizations like CNJFO, ANJRPC, NRA, or grassroots groups like Women for Gun Rights or Naturally Armed. I emphasized that advocacy starts at home, having those tough conversations with family and friends.

I shared my own journey—how in 2021, stepping into the firearms space, I didn’t see people reflecting me. Instead of complaining, I took action. I balanced being a mom, a wife, and a woman on a mission. That was my first act of advocacy—choosing to be the change.

I told the crowd, “Advocacy is simple. See something, say something, do something—then repeat.” I closed with: “I’m Valentina. I’m Naturally Armed—and now, so are you.”
