Meet Valentina
Valentina Richardson Green is an author, firearms instructor, speaker, advocate, entrepreneur, and community leader dedicated to helping individuals become confident, informed, prepared, and empowered.
Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Valentina’s foundation in service and community was shaped early by her father, a disabled United States Army veteran and former Newark police officer. He introduced her to firearms and instilled in her the values of responsibility, discipline, preparedness, and self-reliance.
In 2024, Valentina founded NaturallyArmed®, a women’s empowerment and firearms education organization focused on safety, confidence, responsible firearm ownership, civic engagement, advocacy, and personal development.
NaturallyArmed® is about more than firearms. It is about developing the wholeness of a person—strengthening confidence, awareness, knowledge, practical skills, and an understanding of individual rights and responsibilities. Through education and empowerment, Valentina encourages people to recognize the tools they already possess while developing the skills necessary to become NaturallyArmed in every area of their lives.
Through educational workshops, live-fire training experiences, community programs, speaking engagements, and range events, Valentina creates welcoming, judgment-free environments where women, families, first-time firearm owners, and underserved communities can learn, ask questions, and grow in confidence.
As a speaker, Valentina addresses firearm safety, women’s empowerment, leadership, advocacy, civic engagement, preparedness, personal responsibility, and the importance of protecting fundamental rights for future generations. She has served as a guest speaker at the Gun Owners’ Action League of Massachusetts 250th Celebration and 2A Freedom Fest, in addition to speaking at community events, conferences, classrooms, and ranges across the country.
Valentina has appeared on the We the People Podcast, Riding Shotgun with Charlie, Behind Enemy Lines, and the Black Information Network through iHeartRadio. She has also been featured in articles written by John Petrolino, as well as national and international publications. As a Women for Gun Rights delegate, she uses her platform to educate others, encourage civic participation, and advocate for the preservation of individual rights.
Valentina is also the creator and author of the NaturallyArmed Juniors® Workbook Series, an educational collection designed to help children and families develop practical safety knowledge, confidence, and responsible decision-making skills.
Through NaturallyArmed Juniors®, she offers interactive and age-appropriate workshops for children ages six and beyond. The program introduces young people to trusted adults, situational awareness, de-escalation, emergency preparedness, civic engagement, personal responsibility, and firearm awareness and safety.
NaturallyArmed Juniors® workshops and workbooks help children recognize potentially unsafe situations, make informed choices, communicate with trusted adults, and understand what to do when they encounter a firearm. The purpose is not to create fear, but to build preparation, awareness, confidence, and empowerment.
Valentina believes advocacy does not always begin with a grand gesture. It begins when everyday people become informed, engaged, and willing to use their voices and experiences to create meaningful change in their families and communities.
Whether she is leading a workshop, hosting a range event, speaking from a stage, mentoring a new firearm owner, educating young people, advocating for civil rights, or creating resources for families, her mission remains the same:
Educate. Encourage. Empower. Repeat.
