Meet Valentina

Valentina Richardson Green is a passionate advocate for women's empowerment and firearm education. Born and raised in Newark, New Jersey, Valentina is a woman of color with a unique background. Her father, a disabled Army Veteran and former Newark police officer, introduced her to firearms at a young age, instilling in her a respect and understanding of them despite societal misconceptions.

With 22 years of public service experience, Valentina's career began in began in law enforcement and continues in social service. In August 2021, she was re- introduced to firearms as a hobby and stress reliever. This newfound interest quickly grew into a passion.  Valentina noticed the lack of female representation, particularly women of color in New Jersey in the 2A community. Determined to make a difference, on October 30, 2022, she began a new job as a Range Safety Officer while balancing multiple roles in her personal and professional life. Valentina aimed to create a welcoming and safe environment for women at the range.

In August 2024, Valentina founded NaturallyArmed to further empower women through education and advocacy. Her organization focuses on:

• Understanding the Second Amendment

• Promoting civic involvement

• Understanding our rights and responsibilities

• Firearm and personal safety education

• Encouraging participation in firearm sports

• Activism and community involvement

• Empowering women to find their voice in any space

 Valentina's journey with firearms was not born from tragedy but rather a need to find peace and purpose amid life's pressures. Through firearms, she discovered a path chosen by God to encourage and empower others to walk in their truth and fulfill their destinies. Valentina uses firearms as tools for education, empowerment, and encouragement.
